Member Spotlight: Nancy Clark, MS, RD, CSSD
Nancy Clark, MS, RD, CSSD, is a renowned sports nutrition counselor, speaker, and author with over five decades of expertise in the field. A valued member of MAND for 51 years, Nancy recently had the honor of speaking at the Nobel Week Discussions on The Future of Health.
Reflecting on her experience at this monumental event, Nancy shared, “I received a jaw-dropping invitation to speak at Nobel Week Discussions on The Future of Health. During this day-long event on Dec 9th, 2024 in Stockholm, I participated in a discussion with the head of the UN World Food Relief Program, contrasting the meaning of food for athletes (who live in abundance) with victims of famines (who live with scarcity). In a second session, two Swedish Olympians, a Laureate and I talked about the role of food in preparing for success. About 1,000 people were in the audience and the program was also live-streamed around the globe. It currently is available at https://www.nobelprize.org/events/nobel-week-dialogue/stockholm-2024/“

When asked what she likes most about being a dietitian, Nancy responds, “the many opportunities provided by this career path.”
Nancy also shares valuable advice with her fellow dietitians: “Get involved with professional groups, step-up as a volunteer, and create professional relationships. You never know when you might get invited to Stockholm!”
We are proud to have Nancy Clark as a long-time member of MAND and look forward to celebrating her continued achievements.
